The sports environment has continually improved in Taiwan, and people have started paying closer attention to fitness, health, and games. BOT has always placed great importance on sports promotion. In addition to offering various sports competitions and activities through the Sports Committee, BOT has also established a basketball team, which was one of the founding basketball teams of the SBL (Super Basketball League). BOT's basketball team comprises 25 members who participated in 38 SBL games in 2023, with a total of over 5,000 spectators.

BOT also supports children's sports facilities and activities, organized a summer basketball camp, and invited young baseball players to watch professional baseball games to cultivate potential future sporting talent and develop a sports culture in Taiwan through practical actions. BOT has consecutively won the Sports Activist Award of the Golden Quality Awards issued by the Sports Administration, MOE, for six consecutive years.




Sports Committee

After the pandemic, BOT has not only continually provided high-quality service operations for the general public, but also encourages its employees to have good health, physical fitness, and resilience. Through the Sports Administration, Ministry of Education, BOT has established many sports clubs, including the Group A and Group B basketball, badminton, tennis, golf, bridge club, go, table tennis, fishing, mountaineering, bowling, and slow-pitch softball task forces, so that employees can alleviate their stress and maintain healthy lifestyles.




Children's Sports Activities

"BOT supports baseball!" BOT has supported baseball games since 2010, and specifically cooperates with Taiwan's Major Baseball League (TML), inviting school baseball teams around Taiwan to watch baseball games. In 2023, BOT invited school baseball teams from Fengtian Elementary School, Gukeng Junior High School, Hemei High School, Beishih Elementary School, and Beidou Junior High School to watch a TML all-star game. It also arranged for baseball teams from Beishih Elementary School and Beidou Junior High School to enter the field, catch the ball, and interact with star players. BOT also supports young players from remote rural areas to pursue their dreams and promot BOT held a five-day summer basketball camp from July 17, 2023 to July 21, 2023. This event was warmly received by various circles. Basketball lessons were given to students in different age groups from senior high school, junior high school, and elementary school, giving back to society by improving young students' basketball skills. To further promote basketball, players were invited to interact with students and improve their basketball skills through basic-level training. BOT visited Yilan Toucheng Elementary School, Yilan Li-Ming Elementary School, Taichung Municipal Taya Elementary School, and DaCheng Junior High School and organized campus basketball activities. In 2023, 793 teenagers benefited from BOT's basketball support.




Promoting sports in remote rural schools

BOT has spared no effort in promoting the development of various sporting activities in Taiwan long-term. To fulfill its corporate social responsibility, further improve the sustainability of the sports industry, develop excellent sports talent, enhance the international competitiveness of handball of Taiwan, implement the United Nations' SDGs, and realize sustainability in sports, BOT supported the Taichung Municipal Longjing Junior High School handball team in participating in the 2023 Dronninglund Cup.
