BOT has made outstanding contributions to the financial development and economic stability of Taiwan. "Supporting economic and financial research" has also become one of an important strategical aspect of social participation. By continually participating in academic research in finance, seminars, and forums, it aims to promote the development of the financial industry. In 2023, BOT participated in the Institute of Research on International Finance industry-university cooperation program launched by National Chengchi University and National Sun Yat-sen University to assist with the cultivation of international finance talent by leveraging its financial influence.

Quarterly Review of the Bank of Taiwan
First issued in 1947, Quarterly Review of the Bank of Taiwan has already released 296 issues spanning its 76-year history. The contents of this periodical focus on economy and finance and benefit the improvement of the research atmosphere and enhancement of citizens' understanding of economic and financial issues. The periodical is distributed to government agencies, financial institutions, academic units, and libraries, etc., and an electronic copy is published on BOT's official website for the public.

Continuation of the BOT Awards for Economic and Financial Research
After painstaking development across different eras, BOT is now marking its 120th year since its establishment as Bank of Taiwan Co., Ltd. in 1899. It has accumulated profound financial expertise, and is committed to building an economic and financial research platform to strengthen its research energy and improve financial and economic research. In 2017, BOT started the BOT Awards for Economic and Financial Research with the objective of continuing this legacy and encouraging future contributions, creating a new horizon for financial and economic research in Taiwan and developing financial and economic research talent. To further encourage young students to participate in the competition, the total prizes of the 2023 Awards was raised to NT$1.47 million, an increase of NT$500,000 compared with previous years, demonstrating the influence of BOT in economic research.
