Taiwan Financial Holding Group actively supports the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), extensively includes non-financial indicators in the investment evaluation process, thoroughly assesses the risks and value of investment targets, and discloses relevant information promptly.
Investment and Financing Engagement
To assist corporate clients in achieving sustainability development goals, the Bank of Taiwan has established a corporate client engagement process that leverage financial exprertise to guide credit clients toward sustainable transformation. By the end of 2024, a total of 899 clients in industries with high climate transition risks had reached preliminary engagement, representing approximately 87.5% of all clients in such industries.
Sustainability Bond Issuance
The Bank of Taiwan continues to increase demand for green financing and issued a 5-year sustainability bond in April 2024 with a scale of NT$1 billion. The use of the funds is limited to loans for green investment and social benefit projects. The bond was allocated in August 2024.
