Bank of Taiwan (BOT) has once again been recognized for its commitment to digital innovation and customer-centric financial services, receiving three prestigious awards at the 23rd National Brand Yushan Awards. The Bank earned two Best Product Awards for its Digital Deposit Account Opening for Student Loan Borrowers and Digital Branch Guide, while its innovative Digital Voucher Platform (Hakka Coin / Trust Digital Voucher) received the Best Popular Brand Award.
These recognitions underscore BOT's continued efforts to accelerate digital transformation, enhance customer experience, and support Taiwan's public digital infrastructure through innovative financial solutions.
The award-winning services address key customer needs across multiple life scenarios, including youth financial inclusion, branch service optimization, and digital public services.
The Digital Deposit Account Opening for Student Loan Borrowers enables students to seamlessly open a digital deposit account online by utilizing existing student loan verification data. Without visiting a physical branch, eligible applicants can complete account opening and student loan repayment authorization through a one-stop digital process. The service significantly lowers barriers for first-time banking customers while improving accessibility and convenience.
To further enhance branch banking services, BOT introduced the Digital Branch Guide, a dedicated digital platform for each branch that integrates service information, queue management, and application guidance. By scanning a branch-specific QR Code, customers can conveniently access transaction procedures, required documentation, and ticketing information before arriving at the branch, resulting in greater operational efficiency and an improved customer experience.
BOT's Digital Voucher Platform (Hakka Coin / Trust Digital Voucher) demonstrates the Bank's leadership in integrating public policy payment systems with trust-based financial services. In support of the government's digital voucher initiative, BOT became Taiwan's first government-designated settlement bank for digital vouchers. Furthermore, the Bank pioneered the "Pay Life Care Trust", the nation's first trust service integrating digital vouchers with eldercare trusts. This innovative solution has successfully obtained a utility patent, highlighting BOT's capabilities in digital public infrastructure and financial innovation.
Bank of Taiwan stated that these awards not only recognize its achievements in digital innovation but also affirm its ongoing commitment to leveraging technology to improve financial accessibility and deliver a more intuitive customer experience.
Looking ahead, BOT will continue to deepen the application of financial technology and drive service innovation by providing secure, convenient, and value-added financial solutions. Through continuous digital transformation, the Bank remains committed to creating inclusive financial services that better serve the evolving needs of customers while supporting Taiwan's broader digital economy.
