Bank of Taiwan (BOT) has been actively involved in the comprehensive development of trust services, emphasizing the cultivation of trust professionals and the promotion of public awareness around trust concepts. The bank also participated in a campus video competition hosted by Commercial Times, mentoring students in the production of creative videos. As a result, BOT received dual recognition from the Trust Association of R.O.C., earning the “Crouching Tigers, Hidden Dragons Award” in the team category for both “Senior Financial Planning Advisor” and “Family Trust Planning Advisor,” as well as the “All-in Trust Promotion Award.”
In order to enhance professionalism in its trust services, BOT fully subsidizes staff to attend advisor certification courses. At present, nearly 300 employees hold certifications as either “Senior Financial Planning Advisors” or “Family Trust Planning Advisors,” equipping them with strong expertise for trust consultation. In addition, BOT has deployed dedicated trust specialists at its 159 branches across Taiwan—including remote and outlying islands—establishing an interconnected and highly professional trust service network. This enables elderly and disabled clients to conveniently access consultation services, sign agreements, and handle payment applications at their nearby branches.
In an effort to help more people understand and effectively use trust services to improve their lives, BOT has actively conducted trust education campaigns throughout Taiwan. These events have been hosted in day-care centers, social welfare institutions, village offices, schools, public agencies, and exhibition venues, totaling over 100 sessions and benefiting thousands of participants. Most recently, BOT participated in the “2025 ATLife Taiwan Assistive Technology and Long-Term Care Expo” at Nangang Exhibition Center, where it promoted trust knowledge to the public. The bank also held four seminars on elder care trusts and fraud prevention, advocating for the use of trust mechanisms to safeguard assets and reduce fraud risk.
For two consecutive years, BOT has been awarded first place in Group A of the Financial Supervisory Commission’s “Elder Care Trust Award.” Guided by the principles of “meeting customer needs, protecting vulnerable groups, and providing social welfare services,” the bank continues to develop innovative, inclusive, and sustainable trust services to meet societal needs and fulfill its commitment to inclusive finance.
