The Bank of Taiwan (BOT) chose the Bihu Trail in Neihu to host the Dahu Park Half-day Eco-Hike event on May 17, 2025. Employees were encouraged to bring their whole family on an outdoor excursion to embrace the natural wilderness and unwind. A mountain clean-up was also held to demonstrate BOT’s commitment to environmental protection and looking after the planet.
The event was enthusiastically supported by current employees, retired personnel, and their families with more than two thousand people taking part. BOT Chairperson Joanne Ling, the head of the BOT family, also led the management in answering the call. On the day, the mountain clean-up and hiking event started at the trail head next to Dagouxi Riverside Park in Neihu. The beautiful scenery, green woods, fluttering butterflies and sound of insects along the way created a vibrant atmosphere. The Phytoncide spa in the woods purified everyone’s mind and body as well. To protect our beautiful homeland, participants were asked to bring their own reusable bag and pick up the trash along the way in the spirit of “Environment, LOHAS, and Love Taiwan.”
BOT encourages employees and their families to spend more time outdoors to get close to nature, relieve stress, and cultivate their environmental awareness through the pristine mountains and waters. To get everyone in the habit of exercising, a mountain hike is held around the time of the bank’s anniversary celebrations on May 20 every year as well. The hike not only provides employees with a recreational activity that is good for the mind and body, but also fulfills our corporate social responsibility on sustainability and environmental protection by helping to keep the environment clean.
