Bank of Taiwan Receives Acclaim at 2025 Asia Design Prize, Mascot BUBI Debuts in Comic Series, Creatively Transforming Financial Imagination

2025/06/04

As financial services become increasingly digitalized and the ways the public interacts with banks continue to evolve, Bank of Taiwan upholds its "user-centric" spirit. Following its recognition at the "2024-2025 World Branding Awards" in 2024, Bank of Taiwan has achieved further success in 2025, earning a Winner award at the "Asia Design Prize" for its digital brand image revitalization project. This honor showcases the brand's outstanding achievements in design innovation and customer communication.

To continuously deepen its digital brand image and make financial knowledge more accessible to younger generations, Bank of Taiwan has launched an original comic series titled "The Case of the Infinitely Growing Bank of Taiwan Head Office Building," starring its mascot "BUBI." The series combines entertaining adventure storylines with everyday financial topics, allowing the public to easily understand banking services and financial concepts.

The debut issue of the comic begins with a mysterious light beam emanating from the infinitely growing Bank of Taiwan head office building. As the plot unfolds, it cleverly incorporates common financial themes such as fraud prevention and digital finance. The comic series is now available on Bank of Taiwan's official social media platforms. If you've ever found personal finance dull or are curious about a fantastical plot like "Why is the Bank of Taiwan head office infinitely growing?", we invite you to follow our official Instagram, Facebook fan page, and LINE official account to join BUBI on an adventure to solve "financial missions."

Furthermore, BUBI's role extends to practical digital service applications. In the recently launched protection detection feature within the "Bank of Taiwan Mobile +" APP, BUBI transforms into the "Safety Whale Butler." With a cute and approachable image, BUBI guides customers through mobile device security checks, enhancing their digital fraud awareness and usage security, thereby bridging the gap between financial technology and everyday life.

Looking ahead, Bank of Taiwan will continue to integrate financial concepts and services into more life scenarios through diverse roles and innovative formats. The Bank aims to create a warm financial service experience, deepen interaction with customers, and strengthen the relatability of the Bank of Taiwan brand.
