In order to safeguard customer assets and enable customers to keep track of the flow of funds in the Bank at any time, Bank of Taiwan has provided a personalized service bound to Bank of Taiwan's LINE account for customers to receive instant notifications such as NTD and foreign currency demand deposits, credit card payments, and credit card transactions. In order to provide more complete information on account fund flows, the Bank's personalized LINE service recently launched the "Debit Notification" service for NTD and foreign currency demand deposit accounts. As long as customers subscribe to the debit notification through the Bank's official LINE account, the account debit information will be instantly pushed to the customer's bound personal LINE account, enabling customers to easily keep track of account information in a timely manner and reduce the risk of account theft or fraud.
In order to further ensure the security of customers' transfer transactions in mobile banking, Bank of Taiwan has launched the "Safety Whale Butler" protection service in the mobile banking "Bank of Taiwan Mobile +" APP, featuring two major functions of "protection detection" and "real-time transaction alerts", which effectively improve the transaction security of mobile banking customers. This upgrade incorporates the core spirit of ESG sustainable finance and combines with the brand mascot "Whale BUBI" to provide safe, convenient and heartwarming digital financial services.
The "protection detection" of the "Safety Whale Butler" protection service automatically detects the status of account security through the system, and will remind customers to set up quick login, update APP version, apply for mobile FIDO security control, and complete relevant settings. Customers can also set their own "login time", "number of daily logins", "number of daily non-designated transfers", and "accumulated amount of daily non-designated transfers" through "real-time transaction alerts". If a login or a transaction that is different from the settings occurs, an alert notification will be sent immediately or an alert will be prompted when logging into the APP, ensuring security for the use of the mobile banking APP.
The "Safety Whale Butler" launched by Bank of Taiwan is not only an upgraded measure to safeguard the security of transfer transactions, but also a concrete practice of ESG social responsibility. "Whale BUBI", Bank of Taiwan's mascot, guides customers through the security inspection process with a friendly and cute image. Just as whales protect the marine ecosystem, Bank of Taiwan is dedicated to protecting customers' assets, hoping to ensure transaction security of customers through the protection of the "Safety Whale Butler".
