Dedicated to Satisfying Different Demographics' Trust Needs, Bank of Taiwan Earns Three Accolades at the Trust Awards

2025/01/20

Bank of Taiwan (the “Bank”) actively expands trust services, dedicated to satisfying different demographics' trust needs. On December 20, the Bank received the Best Personal Trust Award among other accolades at the 12th Elite Awards for Excellent Banking Industry in Taiwan (the Elite Awards). On December 23, the winning streak was followed by the Best Public Trust Innovation Award—a victory for the fourth consecutive year, Best Elder Care Trust Innovation Award, and Trust Marketing Excellence Award at the 2024 Trust Awards.

Leveraging Trusts to Support Charity and Foster Social Welfare

Ever since the launch of its charitable trust services, the Bank has endeavored to assist benevolent individuals, institutions, and businesses with establishing different types of charitable trusts, encompassing a variety of domains such as internal affairs, social welfare, education, and law. The power of different charitable trusts combined demonstrates the Bank’s vision of "repaying what it takes from society". In addition to caring for the underprivileged, the Bank offers elderly care assistance, donates to afterschool tutoring, psychological counseling, and other activity projects, pays attention to children's education and mental health, and even cultivates talented athletes through charitable trusts to support the champions of tomorrow, so they can train and join global competitions without worry.

Combining Traditional and Digital Marketing to Promote Trusts via Diverse Channels

The Bank introduces the concepts of trusts through "knowing", "understanding", and "using". It holds awareness events on care trusts across Taiwan, gives talks on trusts at schools, organizes large charity fairs, and participates in large expos. Likewise, the Bank takes full advantage of emerging digital advertisement tools and collaborates with magazines to produce YouTube videos, records the podcast "Bank of Taiwan Q&A", creates trust awareness videos, and spreads trust knowledge on radio shows. The Bank employs this multi-channel strategy to enhance the breadth and depth of knowledge on trusts and dispel frequent doubts people might have, raising their willingness to use trust funds to fulfill their daily needs. This in turn enables our trust services to reach a wider demographic.

Care Trust e-Query System Elevates Digital Customer Service

To allow users to access the asset status of their trusts at any time, the Bank completed its construction of Care Trust e-Query System at the end of 2023. It enables care trust customers to check the asset status and account transaction details of their care trusts online any time via the online banking services, giving a major boost to convenience.

Providing a Friendly Financial Environment and Services to Dementia Patients and Physically- and Mentally-Disabled People

The average life expectancy of disabled people continues to rise with the rapid development of medical technology. To help solve the dilemmas disabled people might face for seeking healthcare in the future, the Bank has been strengthening the education and promotion of its trust services for disabled people. Not only did the Bank actively participate in various social welfare activities to spread trust knowledge among family members of disabled people but also paid great attention to problems encountered by dementia patients. Currently, 132 of our business premises across Taiwan (spanning 20 counties and cities) have been accredited with "Dementia-Friendly Institution" certification, and the Bank is fully committed to keeping delivering warm financial services to dementia patients.
