2024/12/02

“FinTech Taipei 2024” was held at Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) from November 1 to 2. The exhibition attracted professionals from the industry to showcase the latest FinTech innovations and solutions. The exhibition venue adopted the theme of "AI+ - More than FinTech". The Bank of Taiwan (BOT) showcased numerous innovative financial services to emphasize its commitment to sustainable development.

The FinTech Taipei Awards was also held in conjunction with FinTech Taipei, which recognizes organizations that have demonstrated exceptional achievements in the field of financial technology through a competition that consolidates the cross-disciplinary expertise of Taiwan's FinTech sector. BOT, in collaboration with Financial Information Service, Chunghwa Post, and CTBC Bank, participated in the "Model Co-Creation Award" with their "Nationwide Cash Distribution" program. Their outstanding performance in the preliminary round secured them a place in the finals, where they clinched the top honor. Chairperson Jong-Yuan Ling accepted the award on behalf of the team, highlighting its remarkable achievements in FinTech and earning high praise from professional institutions.

BOT exhibited AI-driven financial solutions and joined forces with National Tsing Hua University to launch a blockchain-based proof-of-concept project. Furthermore, through AR (Augmented Reality) technology, participants can enjoy a 360-degree view of the gold product's details and take photos with the exhibits using their smartphones. The anti-fraud tool - trust services - was also introduced at the event alongside the AI-powered "BOT Digital Wealth Management", which offers personalized investment portfolio recommendations.

To enhance interaction, BOT’s mascot “BUBI” was debuted during the exhibition, and the Whale Bank Island was created to provide the public with photo opportunities. In addition, BOT also arranged anti-fraud and gold price trend-related lectures to reinforce public awareness of fraud prevention, allowing participants to obtain valuable knowledge while enjoying the exhibition. Visitors who complete various experiences could redeem exquisite gifts to enhance the element of fun and a sense of participation.
