After a four-year hiatus, the Bank of Taiwan (BOT) once again collaborated with the Taiwan Guide Dog Association on November 4 to host the“Love & Trust Charity Fair”at Huashan1914 Creative Park. The exciting“Love & Trust Charity Fair”kicked off with a scintillating performance by Zhong-Yi Elementary School’s string orchestra, and participants engaged in friendly interactions with the guide dogs.
BOT has held the charity fair for three consecutive years since 2017, but the event was suspended due to the pandemic in recent years. However, the charity fair finally returns this year. The purpose of the fair is to enhance people’s understanding of guide dogs. Moreover, the aim is to promote social welfare and raise the public’s attention to senior citizens and people with disabilities while increasing the understanding of trust services among all generations by combining the party with trust activities. The bank leads by example, infusing warm and positive energy into society by taking action in the hope of urging more people to join the charitable action in order to perpetuate the power of good. With myriads of charity stalls and interactive experience stalls at the scene, all proceeds from the charity bazaar will be donated to the Taiwan Guide Dog Association.
According to BOT, guide dogs act as the eyes of people with visual impairments, endowing them with freedom and independence. Senior citizens are the gems of society because their wisdom and experience are invaluable. Let us pay more attention to them and respect them through the fair and make them feel our love and care. The right things and the good things must be undertaken continuously to unleash the greatest benefits and values. In the future, BOT will continue to introduce more love and trust to the society.
