Installation of Renewable
Energy Facilities

環境永續 環境永續

In response to the overall development of the Solar PV Promotion Plan of Taiwan and in consideration of energy utilization and environmental sustainability, BOT aims to promote a diverse and self-sufficient energy supply, and build a green-energy and low-carbon environment. After selecting the bank buildings of three branches located in Taichung, Hsinying, and Fengshan with longer sunshine duration and moderate humidity, BOT rented out the building roofs to relevant practitioners to install solar PV power generating facilities through a public bid in 2017 with a total capacity of 279.90 KW. In 2021, the roofs of six branches located in Chengchung, Chupei, Nantou, Taipao, Hsingsing, and Lingya were newly leased, and the rooftop solar photovoltaic installations were completed in June 2022, with a total capacity of 891.55 KW. As of 2023, the roofs of nine bank buildings were leased to install solar PV facilities with a total capacity of approximately 1,171.45 KW. In 2024, the feasibility of installation of rooftop solar PV facilities in other branches will be reviewed and public leasing planned to continue to contribute to clean energy development.
