Green Procurement
During procurement, the Bank of Taiwan gives priority to designated eco-friendly products that are announced, and complies with the Government Procurement Act and Resource Recycling Act to improve the performance of green procurement. The achieve rate of designated items announced for green procurement in 2024 was 99.9%, exceeding the annual target of 95%, and received a total score of 100 points in the Government Green Procurement performance evaluation. Furthermore, the Bank of Taiwan assists in providing product information on the Green Mark for announcement on the Government e-Procurement System, providing agencies with sufficient information for green procurement, in order to make purchases more convenient under inter-entity supply contracts. A note on the Green Mark was added for a total of 3,054 purchases in 2024. The achieve rate of designated green procurement items in 2024 reached 99.9%.

Note: Green procurement is defined as the procurement of products that possess eco-friendly certification labels or certificates issued by health authorities, including energy-saving, water-saving, green building materials labels/marks, and similar eco-friendly certifications.
Sustainable Supplier Management
In order to strengthen supplier management and implement the concept of sustainable and green procurement in practice, the Bank of Taiwan adheres to the "Sustainable Procurement and Supplier Management Policy" of Taiwan Financial Holdings. During procurement, CSR metrics (e.g., whether salary increases are given to employees regularly) or compliance with the sustainable cycle (e.g., conducting green procurement) are included in the selection (and review) considerations based on the characteristics of each procurement project and actual needs. We hope to encourage suppliers to implement CSR and jointly promote the sustainable development of the economy, environment, and society.
