Ethical Management and Legal Compliance
We formalized our long-running head office legal compliance manager meetings; established a legal compliance team under our Legal Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, and Counter-Terrorism Committee; and regularly convened meetings attended by legal compliance managers from all business management units to establish effective horizontal communication mechanisms. We convened a meeting to discuss and improve upon major financial sanctions imposed on industry peers, internal audits, and external audit suggestions, and submitted the meeting minutes to the Committee for review.
Risk Management and Business Continuity
Bank of Taiwan has established three lines of defense in compliance with the Implementation Rules of Internal Audit and Internal Control System of Financial Holding Companies and Banking Industries for effective risk management. We have also established rigorous risk management regulations and internal control procedures to serve as a basis for risk management.
Information Security and Privacy Protection
Bank of Taiwan regularly organizes professional information security training courses to enhance internal protections and capabilities related to information security, and we also implement information security drills to strengthen employee information governance awareness and abilities to deal with vulnerability, ensuring zero leakages and infringements of corporate and personal privacy.
